Using dashes (/) vs line breaks in poetry?
Stanzas are known to be sung. Although there are many examples of stanza that aren't. Also this kind of thing is evident in psalms that are also sung. In the presence of these lines in psalms that are sung, the lines indicate a change of note in the vocals. Not sure whether it indicates the same thing in a stanza though. Generally if you use this method to write stanzas or psalms you will find the lack of punctuation and capitalization rather lacking. Why this happens to be the case in capitalisation I don't really know, punctuation may be lacking in order to prevent a performer of the stanza from getting '/' and ',' or '!' mixed up.
