Short story ideas....?

Hello there! I am writing a short story for a contest to get published. I have this so far (just a summary). A boy named Jakob and his family move from Berlin to M�nchen Germany in the year 1937. After a while the family are taken to the Ghetto of Warsaw where his mother and father die. Jakob knows he must survive and push on. He is then taken to Auschwitz and from there im lost. So how should the things come together and what are some more names I should use?
