How to find a reputable automotive repairman OR does anyone know of one in Mobile, AL?

Mobile lives in the dark ages. I cannot find any helpful online reviews which can ist me in finding a decent, reputable automotive repairman. I'm aware of ASE certification, and have heard the suggestions of asking friends and relatives. The asking part is no help because I'm new to Mobile, so I haven't met any new friends AND I have no family here. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find one? Or does anyone know of one?
