Broadband without home phone?

Does anyone know of a company that offers broadband (for a laptop) without having it connected to your home? My landlords wont let me have anything like that in my name since our utilities are included in the rent, but this dialup is killing me. So, I need something mobile without any times to my apartment. I looked into Cricket Broadband but heard it was awful. Anything else out there?
